Attention ladies! What do you need to pay attention to for keeping sexy legs?
Cellulite and problems with connective tissue can be handled to a certain degree with holistic nutrition, training and care. Here you find a do to list on this topic:
- Motion keeps muscles and heart circulation strong – move as much as possible. Look for a discipline which gets you going without placing any more stress on your connective tissue like e.g. walking, biking, swimming, aqua gymnastics, aerobic, dancing. Avoid disciplines which shocks your tissue like jogging
- Move as often as possible with bare feet and wear sportive shoes with low heals. The natural motion of your feet is important for keeping a good flexibility in your ankles, keeping your achilles flexible and reducing the stress to your joints, back and veins
- Pay attention to a well balanced nutrition. There are nutrients which support the strengthening of your connective tissue, such as
1. Silica
2. Vitamin C
3. Amino acids
4. Beta carotene and selenium
5. Vitamin E
- Eat wholemeal food and drink an adequate amount of fluid (preferably mineral water without sparkling, spritzer and herbal tea)
- Try to keep your bodyweight in normal range, because any additional kilo puts stress on your veins
- If you experience swelling at your legs put your feet up at night to reduce the swelling. You could use for example a cushion which allows to place your feet at least 10 cm higher than usual
- Try to avoid heat which causes additional swelling of your legs (e.g. heat in sauna, with long sun baths, sitting close to heating, wearing high boots)
- Try hot and cold showers to tighten your tissue. Finish this procedure with cold water
- If your legs tend to build spider veins, try to avoid extreme changes of heat and cold and care for constant body temperature. Reduce visits to sauna, lengths of sun baths, hot showers and hot baths
- It is not recommendable to train at fitness machines (leg press) if you have spider veins or varicose veins. Pressing movements increase the pressure to venous valves and your blood will be pumped into your legs on a higher level. Prefer disciplines like walking and biking with a constant blood circulation. Ask for guidance of a doctor if you experience changes with your blood vessels and let the doctor decide what might be the medical cause of this change and recommendable actions
- Write your daily experiences with your legs into a diary . Measure the circumference of your legs at height of your thighs and ankles on a regular basis and keep track of the numbers. Also write down food, activities and special incidents, so that you learn the causes for different sizes of your legs
- Use peelings for skin care with substances which stimulate the connective tissue and which clean the skin
- Take care of your skin. Massage sensitive spots on a regular basis to stimulate blood circulation
